When you make a claim on your insurance policy you are formally notifying us that you have suffered a loss or damage that you believe is covered by your policy.
Your claim is reviewed by us to make sure it is valid and covered by your policy. We may ask you to give us additional information. If we are satisfied that your claim is in order, we will then settle your claim based on the terms of your insurance policy. We may make a payment to you, or repair or replace the damage. You may need to pay us, the repairer or someone else the required excess.
