Firstly, we want to extend our sincere condolences during this time. We want to make sure we can support you during this already difficult time and help make this as simple as we can.
If you follow this link here, you will be able to submit a request to notify us.
What happens after I submit my request?
Once an authorised party (such as the executor or beneficiary) contacts us, we will need to change the Bingle policy to the name of the Estate. We will update the contact details and make any policy updates you require in case the vehicle is still being driven.
We will then need to establish if you will be holding onto the vehicle, selling or disposing of it, or if you’ve already disposed of it or transferred ownership. You don’t need to decide this straight away, of course, but having a rough idea means we will know how to help you.
If you’re selling the vehicle or transferring ownership, then we will also need to cancel the policy when you no longer wish to cover the vehicle.
If you want to cancel the policy, please let us know and we’ll process that.
Any refund owing for the unused period of insurance cover will automatically be issued to the original card that was used to pay for the policy.
In the event that the card refund is not successful (e.g. the refund has returned or bounced back to Bingle), we will process an EFT to a bank account held in the name of the deceased or as nominated by the authorised party and provided to Bingle.
In a nutshell, please get in touch with us. We are here to support you during this process.
