- You can claim online
Here at Bingle, we’re online only. This means all claims with us are lodged online rather than over the phone, which can help take the stress out of the situation when you need to make a claim.
- We’ll ask you to pay your excess (unless you can prove the other driver was at fault)
When you make a claim, we’ll ask you to pay an excess up front if the circumstances regarding the accident are not clear. If we determine you’re not at fault during the lodgement of your claim, and you can provide the name, address and car registration number of the other driver or drivers involved, we will waive the excess for you. You will need to provide us with evidence, such as a police report or a statement from a witness
If you can’t supply the name and address of the at fault driver and registration number of the at fault vehicle, we will not waive your excess.
To pay your excess after you’ve lodged a claim, log in to Bingle Self Service and look for the ‘Actions’ box that pops up next to your claim. From there, click ‘Pay excess’ and follow the prompts.
3. Bingle will repair your car, write your vehicle off, or cash settle the claim
When you book your assessment online, you’ll be directed to our repairs booking screen. On this page, we’ll give you a list of our nearest approved repairers, and you can nominate a booking time to bring in your car.
Providing all the information we need will help us to understand how the incident happened and who was involved, so we can progress your claim as quickly as possible. We’ll take care of the rest for you.
If your claim is approved and you request a cash settlement instead, we will pay you the amount of the assessed quote from our repairer.
This cash payment means we don't repair or replace your car, and is not relevant to us providing cover for any of the additional benefits on your policy, such as towing and storage, emergency repairs or damaged personal property. If you receive a cash settlement, you will not be entitled to the lifetime repair guarantee as Bingle has not approved the repairs.
4. We’ll cover all reasonable costs if you need a tow from the scene of the incident
If you’ve had an accident and your car isn’t safe to drive, we can organise a tow 24/7 to our nearest approved repairer. Simply call us on . Make sure you keep all receipts and invoices so we can reimburse you come claim time..
