- You can claim online
Here at Bingle, we’re online only. This means all claims with us are lodged online rather than over the phone, which can help take the stress out of the situation when you need to make a claim.
- We’ll ask you to pay your excess up front
When you make a claim, we’ll ask you to pay an excess up front whether you’re at fault or not. If we determine you’re not at fault, and you can provide the name, address and registration number of the other driver or drivers involved, we’ll refund the excess back to you.
To pay your excess after you’ve lodged a claim, log in to Bingle Self Service and look for the ‘Actions’ box that pops up next to your claim. From there, click ‘Pay excess’ and follow the prompts.
Until you’ve payed your excess, your claim will be marked as a ‘Report only’. Our claims team will then be in touch with you to discuss whether you want to take your claim further.
- You may not need to lodge a claim with us if you’re not at fault
If you, and the other driver, believe you’re not at fault in an accident, you may be able to get the other driver to lodge a claim with their insurance company instead of you lodging a claim with us. Depending on the circumstances, their insurer may organise the next steps.
If you can claim through the other driver’s insurer, you won’t have to pay our upfront excess.
- If you make a claim with us, we’ll organise the repairs for you
After you’ve paid your excess, and we have all the information we need, you’ll be directed to our repairs booking screen. On this page we’ll give you a list of our nearest approved repairers, and you can nominate a booking time to bring in your car. We’ll take care of the rest for you.
- We’ll cover all reasonable and fair costs if you need a tow
If you’ve had an accident and your car isn’t safe to drive, we can organise a tow 24/7 to our nearest approved repairer. Simply call us on . Make sure you keep all receipts and invoices so we can reimburse you come claim time.
